Bringing a studio-style sensibility into the field, we lit up the ice flows of Bucks County, PA with an array of LED lights to shoot Princeton Tec's Vizz Headlamp.
I'd been to the rim of the Grand Canyon plenty of times and always wrote off the experience as underwhelming and touristy. It took 14 days of sheer hell at the bottom of the big ditch to help me realize how spectacular of a place it really is. Gotta go back.
Shooting for Astral, Trek Light Gear, Wool X, and Princeton Tec.
The Pocono Mountains run along the western shore of the Delaware River as it divides Pennsylvania and New Jersey through a region known as the Delaware Water Gap. An ostensibly low key part of the world, local kayakers cherish it as one of whitewater's best kept secrets. When the rains roll in, the Poconos turn into a beautiful playground of steep drops and deep pools.
In a rare late season patch of warm fall weather, we stumbled upon a color we'd never seen in these parts before.
My friend Kat clued me in about an abandoned mine in the new town she just moved to and suggested that I check it out as it might be something I'd be into. She was right.

After my fair share of bike touring including a transcontinetal solo trip when I was 18, I'd begun to grow disenchanted with the idea of bicycle travel. The Tall Bike was my solution. A means to make roads longer, hills taller, and human interactions all the more interesting. In the fall of 2016, my friend Tony and I caught a ride up north and rode back home from the Adirondacks to New Jersey - I on my tall home made steed and he on a salvaged decades-old frame. It was a weird trip full of stealthy urban camping, soul crushing moments that would ultimately lead to Tony's break up with his then girlfriend, and a unique set of mechanical issues.
Snapshots from Julien’s turf - the wizard in the west.
When the homies fly across the country to drive your van back east with you.
Snapshots from the week we spent living on our own island in the Florida Keys. Shooting for Renogy Solar.
I grew up in and around New Brunswick, NJ, a town which is home to one of the premiere underground music scenes in country. I've spent many a night enjoying the local DIY community while squished into sweaty basements with funny names like Meat Towne or The Tijuana Velodrome. Shows have long been a part of my life that I've engaged in as a performer, spectator and photographer.
Spent some time out in the field with my Entomolgy friends to meet the subjects of their fascination.
Shooting for Fuji Bikes and Osprey Packs
Maine’s a magic state. When I was 17 I spent a bit of my summer working as an apprentice deckhand on a historic Schooner up there called The Timberwind. It was a lovely ordeal, rich in romanticism and lore. I still try to make it up there every now and again.
Shooting for Astral and Princeton Tec.
It seems like every other kids story has some sort of cave element to it - from The Goonies to Hercules. There was one about some kids who built a club house in a cave behind their house... What a dream.
A summit all to ourselves on top of one of America's most iconic monuments was well worth hunkering down to wait out two separate storms mid-wall while all the other parties bailed.
In early May, the only ice that remains below Kaaterskill Falls is dripping and cracked forming an ice cave just large enough to snake through.

I called up my buddy Smiz and we met up on the river at 12:30am for a midweek midnight photo session on one of our favorite local runs. I love working in the dark.
The rock in the Southeast is truly something special. Bubbly forms and good friction keep us coming back every winter.
The Tetons were where I learned that conditions are everything - that the route your cruised up in sneakers one week, can be the windy verglas covered nightmare you’ve packed yourself into the next.
Ventures through the West, captured in the grey area between night and day.
I always thought it would be cool to bolt the train bridge in town for climbing. You can imagine my surprise when I pushed aside years of debris and found chains at the top…
The High Tatras are a mountain range that divide Poland on its southern border from its Slovakian neighbors. These were my dad's old stomping grounds. The hills he cut his teeth on when soviet occupied Poland meant that there was no food on store shelves, let alone Alpine gear.
A zero to sixty, or more precisely a sea level to 18,500ft, weekend blitz to the top of North America’s tallest volcano.
On October 28th 2015, I bought an old surveillance van that once belonged to the New York City Police Department. It was a beat up 1997 Ford E-350 that was being used to store scrap metal. Although its law enforcement decals had long been removed, you could still read "Detective Bureau" and "NYPD" where the paint had unevenly faded beneath the lettering.
I milked the month of November for every single spare moment I could and poured it into the renovation and construction of the van. Thankfully my ever supportive childhood neighbors were used to my antics at this point and never so much as complained as I worked on the van in the shared driveway of my parent's townhouse; cutting wood and drilling holes late into the night.
By December my new home was ready.
On assignment in White Clay Delaware for the Fuji Bikes Carbon Jari release.
In September 2018, I proposed to the love of my life in Arches National Park. These are some selfies and snaps from that most excellent weekend.
We found most of the rooms in the abandoned mines to be flooded, so we brought kayaks in figuring the whole thing would be a bit gimmicky in scale but fun nonetheless. None of us expected to have not reached the end after an hour of paddling…
